I posted it here in comments to respect the reader's wishes.
------------------------------------
I want to be able to buy and grow heirloom seeds. I think the food supply is safer now than with HR 875----->Please do not pass HR 875 nor S 425.

I do not think that genetically modified food is healthy.
I am a ----your qualifications or experience here---, so, I know what I am talking about. I routinely read the current refereed scientific journals and attend national and international science meetings.

Monsanto people were all over at National meetings and suddenly any taped discussions of the real scientists' discussions, "disappeared," but only when Monsanto's work and presentations were shown false. I do not feel they can be trusted. Look at the connections to the people sponsoring the bill.

If you want to prevent hunger, do not pass the HR875. Our food is safer without it. Do not pass any legislation that limits people's access to viable seed from their own gardens.

Let people grow and process their own food.

Let organic farmers sell their produce without overburdening them with fines and rigamarole.

There are reasons to have raw milk, too. If a person doesn't want it, he or she doesn't have to drink it. But there are reasons to have it. Let it be available.

If you want to do things to improve food safety, have Cooperative Extension and 4-H teach people cooking and safety.

If you want to have food safety, take high fructose corn syrup out of so many foods.

If you want to improve food safety and health, stop or severely limit junk food marketing, especially to children. At least 50% of the ads could be for fresh produce.

Let us buy seeds that are reproducible. Keep the gene pool broad. Reduce cancer risk by keeping all our plants available.

Avoid the monopoly of the agribusiness at all costs.

Let herbal medicines exist.

Require botanists at all companies selling herbals and botanicals and phytonutrients and any plant products or derivatives. Require botanists in medical school faculties, again. The herbal medicines are rampant, so, botanists should be required. (Subsets of botany: horticulture, agriculture, mycology, plant pathology, forestry, and many others. "Botany" means, "plant science.")

I vote in ---your district---.

Thank you.
signatureJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01442555476498344484noreply@blogger.com
