News on Stuttering....Science in the News

Watch this. My mother, Marie Shipman, was a speech pathologist who had great success with her clients who stuttered. They became, "Fluent Stutterers," who rarely had adverse effects on their communication. She'd love that you watch this video and so would I.

One of the best things you can do when speaking with stutterers is to listen. Let them take the time they need to speak. Mom taught me that. Her listening was a key to the clients' successes.
